Weltevrede Wine Estate, just outside the town of Bonnievale, is a family wine estate with a proud heritage dating back to 1912. The Jonker family, has over the many years lapsed, passed on the delicate art of wine making from generation to generation and is currently run by Lourens Jonker and his son, Phillip. Sporting many award winning labels, Weltevrede Wine Estate have often lead the way in the industry, being the first estate in the Breede Valley to bottle their own wine in 1975 and producing the first Gewurtztraminer in the Robertson Wine Valley in 1983.
