The Armourer's Place is soon to celebrate its 20th Birthday, and in that time, Peter Weissnar has built up to be one of the most remarkable eateries in Gauteng. Good Austrian food and this happy atmosphere keeps patrons returning, to a place where, try as you might, you simply cannot have a bad time. Peter is himself an armourer, hence the name of the restaurant, and he created the works adorning the walls; they cleverly offset the very dramatic murals. Guests are also somewhat drawn to the extensive range of beers available by the keg, and Peter periodically treats the patrons to and Austrian-style Beer fest, which is extremely popular! The Armourer's Place also offers a conference venue for up to 25 delegates, with a separate entrance and reception area. Weekend entertainment gets wild, with a wide choice of Austrian Food and drinks, from set menu to a la carte, and the Eisbein always a firm favourite. As the evening moves on, expect the party to improve.
