Klipheuwel Country House, on a traditional ostrich farm, is situated only 7 minutes drive from Oudtshoorn. This typical late-Victorian homestead dates back to the feather-boom period of the early 1900s. Klipheuwel is one of only a few still with its original style beauty and charm fully preserved. This farm has been in the family for five generations. The spacious bedroom suites face north with magnificent views over the Swartberg Mountains. The bedrooms have been individually decorated and designed, and are equipped with all manner of life’s luxuries. They open onto a wooden deck around a large salt-water swimming pool. On hot summer days guests can enjoy swimming or simply relaxing under the gazebo. Experience the breathtaking sunsets of the Little Karoo, while you enjoy drinks at the open fire. The delicious fresh breakfasts are served on the deck next to pool. The farm also offers self-guided hiking through ostrich camps, as well as a guided 4x4 route for those more adventurous.
