Experience the days gone by of ostrich feathers and feather palaces at Foster’s Manor Bed & Breakfast - the embodiment of the ambiance of the era when the ostrich and its feathers reigned supreme in the Little Karoo. The Manor was restored to its former glory and declared a national monument in 1974. The Great British sandstone architect, Charles Bullock, was the creator of this building. The Manor has eight rooms, the character of which is a blend of the old and new. The spacious interiors have been individually furnished with authentic collector's pieces from the early 1900s. Each room has an en suite bathroom where one can unwind in a French Slipper Bath. You can also enjoy a drink while watching television or while relaxing on the balcony. A stay in the Manor’s Honeymoon Suite will be the crowning glory of your honeymoon! All rooms are fitted with mini-bars, facilities for making coffee and tea, and Televisions. Guests can roam the ground floor, which is decorated with period pieces and photo reproductions of the feather boom era; cool down in our beautiful swimming pool during the hot summer months and enjoy a after dinner drink in one of the two lounges. At Foster’s Manor you can experience a culinary array of flavours mingling on our cold and hot breakfast buffet. We offer you a wide variety in traditional South African cuisine: our dishes are from Cape-Dutch-,Cape-Malay- and English Origin, but very often also a combination of historic culinary influences. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room and in summer breakfast can also be served outside on the "stoep" and one can enjoy the tranquil surroundings and fresh Karoo air. Dinner arrangements can be made on request. We can make your life easier by providing advice on which attractions to visit, the best way of getting there and where to dine. Foster’s Manor also provides a laundry service and 24hour internet access. We offer separate conference facilities for up to 18 people and will do our utmost to ensure that your conference runs smoothly. Services include menu planning, audiovisual equipment and accommodation. A stay at Foster’s Manor will be an unforgettable experience.
